The third Olympiad (World Team Championship), organised by FIDE took place in the second half of July 1930 in Hamburg, Germany. It was a fine way for the Hamburg chess club to celebrate its centerary. There are photographs of most of the players and over 380 games and positions, many with contemporary annotations.

Warsaw was the scene for the sixth world chess team championship, a competition which began in London in 1927. A total of 760 games were played by teams of four in 19 rounds. Of these games, we have been able to find all or parts of about 510 of them.

Siegbert Tarrasch won the tournament at Manchester in 1890 without losing a game. More importantly, it was his second consecutive tournament victory, without losing a game. The book contains all the games from the tournament that it has been possible to find, nearly all with annotations.

Paul Schmidt was born in Estonia, in the Russian Empire in 1916 during World War I. The book contains all of his games that I have been able to find, many with his own notes.
