Mastering The Endgame Part 1
Featuring
Armed with Pawn Endgame Essentials
GM Dzindzichashvili teaches the important aspects of elementary pawn endgames including the opposition, and positions with pawn breakthroughs, outside passed pawns, potential outside passed pawns, and protected passed pawns.
Minor Piece Endgame Weapons
GM Dzindzichashvili discusses the general principles of play in bishop endgames including bishops of opposite color endings.
Pounding a Material Advantage
GM Dzindzichashvili presents the important theoretical positions that arise in endgames where one side has a material advantage, for example, Q v R; R v B; R v N; R v P; B + RP ("wrong-colored" queening square); N v P; and other material imbalances where zugzwang or stalemate (or avoidance of stalemate) are important factors.
Pulverizing Pawn EndgamesGM Dzindzichashvili examines the tactical aspects of certain pawn endgames - ones that do not adhere to simple generalizations but instead involve accurate calculation in their resolution. Examples include the Reti Maneuver, stalemate themes, zugzwangs, gain and loss of tempo, relative king activity. This tape is an advanced sequel to Armed with Pawn Endgame Essentials.
Pummeling Success in Unbalanced Endgames
GM Dzindzichashvili examines the correct technique and calculation in the endgame using examples from grandmaster play. Examples include R + P endgames; K + P endgames; bishop of opposite color endings; and unbalanced positions where concrete calculation and formulation of a winning plan is paramount.
Running time: 4 hours 10 minutes

Roman's Lab 30: Master The Endgame series Part 2
Featuring
Rolling with Rooks and Pawns
GM Dzindzichashvili teaches the basic principles of elementary rook endgames including the critical theoretical R + P v R positions that are essential knowledge for all chessplayers (e.g., the Lucena and Philidor positions).
Shattering Minor Piece Endings
GM Dzindzichashvili further examines bishops of opposite color endings and discusses the general principles of play in B v N endgames.
Slashing Advanced Endgame Tactics
GM Dzindzichashvili analyzes several beautiful drawing resources in endgames which are apparently easy wins for the side with the material advantage. All of these examples are optically and esthetically satisfying, as the "losing side" pulls off the draw - seemingly against all odds and often in incredible fashion.
Storming Victory in Irregular Endgames
GM Dzindzichashvili discusses endgames with material imbalances including a defense based on fortresses in positions with Q v 2 minor pieces; Q (+ P) v R (+P); endgames with the advantage of the Exchange; bishops of opposite color endgames; B v N endgames; N v Ps; R v Ps.
Warring Endgame Tactics
GM Dzindzichashvili examines tactical solutions (including decoy, stalemate, perpetual mate threats) in certain endgames of type R v P and R v Ps; bishops of opposite color endings; N + P v B; pawn endings; and R + B v R.
Running time: 4 hours 10 minutes

Foxy Opening 190 The Scholars Mate, Queen h5 Attack - 2 hour 30 min
an unorthodox chess opening characterized by the moves: 1 e4 e5 2 Qh5.
We will see Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura on this DVD. They seem quite happy to play 2 Qh5. Why not join them?
It’s a shock weapon and has the advantage of being better than it looks. There is hardly any theory. The opponent might feel uncomfortable facing such a move. It’s almost as if Black is suddenly expected to win with White playing like a beginner. The pressure is suddenly on. Easy traps that Black can fall into, especially in 5-minute games. If Black avoids getting mated in the opening White still has a solid game and Black will be left is left to his own resources and most likely unfamiliar positions.
Not everyone can cope with this type of unusual pressure.
Used at the right time against the right opponent, 2 Qh5 can have a devastating effect. Let FIDE Senior Trainer and IM Andrew Martin show you how. (Free Bonus intro to Colle by Susan Polgar)
Foxy Opening 191 Jobava London for The Tournament Player – 3 hours
It is rare in the computer era that an entirely new opening system is discovered. Yet this is the case with the Jobava London System.
The opening is a fusion of the Veresov and London Systems, where White combines Nc3 and Bf4. Unclear and sharp positions arise from the beginning of the game.
In 2020 it is not just the inventor, Georgian GM Baadur Jobava, who is using this system with success. Magnus Carlsen and Nakumara have taken a liking to the idea. Because of their support many other Grandmasters are blazing the new trail like Simon Williams who has been a major contributor to the success of this opening. There are no books even written on the subject so this will be a surprise weapon.
Just following the recommended moves can lead to sharp attacks and crushing wins right out of the opening. Caruana and even Kasparov have fallen victim from attacks that seem to come out of nowhere!
On this all-new Foxy Openings DVD, IM Andrew Martin introduces you to the opening and then gives repertoire recommendations. You can surprise opponents with this obscure system and have every chance of working up a quick attack. It’s a perfect opening for all players.
You will be surprised how effective this opening can be.
