Description
This digital version boasts an extraordinary history and development over the last 40 years. The first edition of the “Encyclopaedia of Middlegames: Combinations” was published in 1980, and ever since it has been a favorite training tool for aspiring chess students, trainers, and of course – professionals. After the first edition, each subsequent one has been enriched with new, instructive examples. We can proudly point out that the sixth edition of our classic contains examples and instructive positions from games played by all World Champions, from Steinitz to Ding Liren!
Additionally, in this edition of the Encyclopaedia, we have maintained the standard division of all themes and tactical motifs into 10 topics, while all positions are graded into three levels according to playing strength – basic, intermediate, and advanced. Therefore, the digital version should prove to be extremely useful for both players and chess trainers, allowing them to choose examples and levels of difficulty based on the knowledge and progress of their students.
There are a total of 3198 examples that are divided by Themes and Levels.
