This page applies to consumers in the European Union and EEA who purchased from Chess4Less for personal, non-business use.
Your 14-day right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. The period ends 14 days after the day you, or someone you nominate, receive the goods. For orders of multiple items delivered separately, it runs from the day you receive the last item.
How to withdraw
- Click the button below to start your request.
- Confirm the request and enter your name and order reference.
- You will receive an automatic confirmation email recording the date and details of your request.
You do not need an account to do this. If you bought as a guest, use the order number from your confirmation email.
What happens next
- If your order has not shipped, we will cancel it.
- If it has shipped, you may return the goods. You must send them back within 14 days of telling us you withdraw.
- We will refund the price paid for the goods and the standard delivery charge paid for the original shipment. We do not refund extra costs for premium or expedited delivery beyond our standard delivery option.
- We issue refunds using your original payment method within 14 days of being informed of your withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or you provide proof that you have returned them.
- If you exercise your EU right of withdrawal, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us, unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described.
Exceptions
The right of withdrawal does not apply to certain items, including gift cards and any other items excluded by applicable law. This may include goods that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
