The Nasty Nimzowitsch Defence by Christian Bauer
The Nimzovitsch Defence, 1.e4 Nc6, represents a lesser-known and by far less popular inheritage from the great strategist than the Nimzo-Indian. Indeed, if the latter has acquired a reputation of being one of the soundest replies to 1.d4, almost the opposite could be said about 1...Nc6 as an answer to 1.e4. The main reason for that lies probably in the fact that Black blocks his c-pawn as soon as move 1, something a dogmatic player will regard as highly suspicious.
There are, however, many other factors intervening in the opening than the mobility of the respective c-pawns, and this DVD will explore rather rare, yet fully playable lines for Black. Its main body will consist of a Pirc Defence after 1.e4 Nc6 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 Nf6 4.Nc3g6 where Black has avoided the sharpest variations, at the small cost of being a bit less flexible, since his knight already stands at c6. I will also recommend you ways to handle secondary options for White as well as his second biggest choice, the move 2.d4.
